The Great Indian Collapse

Just when you thought what could go worse than a team getting bundled out for 55 runs in an opening session of a test match, Indian batting found itself in a comedy of errors. Losing last 6 wickets for grand total of '0' runs marked the comeback of proteas who were down and out after the first innings humiliation.

This is a first instance in test cricket history where a team has lost its last 6 wickets without adding a single run to their score. At one point, team India were marching ahead with 153 runs on board with 6 wickets in hand and leading the match by 98 runs, they were dealt with thunderous over from Lungi Ngidi, who is making a comeback after an injury.

Ngidi dismantled the Indian innings by picking 3 wickets an over. Getting the in-form batter KL Rahul caught behind opened the floodgates. Ravindra jadeja who's playing in place of Ravi Ashwin had no clue on Ngidi's bouncer on the very second ball of his innings. Bumrah's story was no different. Kohli, who was left stranded on the other end, looked to take control of the innings but edged one straight to man in the first slip off Kagiso Rabada. And in blink of an eye, the mighty Indian batting lineup collapsed like a deck of cards.

With South Africa making a sensational comeback, the match hangs in balance even though India has a lead of 98 runs.

It's test cricket and it's beautiful.
